On April 11th 2024, we raced at the Army triathlon association Standard Distance Duathlon, held at Thruxton motor race circuit. A dry and breezy day, we set off on the 11.3k run, with some very fast runners setting a crazy pace! 3 laps of the undulating course, then onto the bike. 10 laps of this super smooth tarmac, great fun even in the strengthening wind. Last run was 1 lap, and that was enough! We ended up with Andy Dunkerley taking 3rd in his age group, and winning overall in the guest category. Stefan Farnworth was 3rd in his age group, Tim Fowler was 2nd in the 50+ age group. Matt and Eddie put in good performances as well. A great days racing, as ever well run by the Army.
