Final round of the Summer League

Recent pictures are form the final round of the Summer league fished at Lindholme lakes and the Willows Pool.




Those that fished anticipated the large stocks of F1s would dominate catches, however it was the large stock of big carp that proved to be the dominant species as many anglers landed fish well into double figures throughout the day.


Top spot on the day went the Paul whiting, who fished his trusted method of Mussels’. Paul landed 114lb to take top spot closely followed by Ian Russell with 90lb and then Andy Bowness completed the Top 3 with a weight of 82lb.


The 7 match series came to a close finish and come the final weigh in there were a number of people in contention for the league winners title.


Ian Russell, Andy Bowness and Steve Moss all finished with 5 points, it would come down to dropped points and a weight countback to finally settle things.


Ian Russell dropped nine points to Andy and Steve’s 10, with Steve then pipping Andy to second spot by a mere 2 ½ lb after seven rounds of angling.


Roll on the Winter league!
