Angling North

Updated: May 22

The Prison Service Northern Angling Association has been competing since 2010. We are a coarse angling club focussing on both commercial and natural waters. Initially we started out with a small number of Anglers from the Hull and Humber area. Over the years this has expanded and we now attract anglers from all over the country. As the club developed, and grew, we began to get noticed by other services and for a number of years now we have been invited to compete in many Interservice events, Angling against teams from the Army, RAF, HMRC, Fire brigade and the Police to name a few. We have now won at some stage every one of these invitational events, often framing in all of them.

Our own calendar of events is aimed at staff, wishing to get together, for a carefree, relaxing days fishing with a likeminded group of both retired and serving staff.

We have 8 matches planned for the season which includes the Individual national championship held at the famous Lindholme lakes.

In addition to the summer events we also continue throughout the Winter period and take part in a very successful and well attended winter league. This generally revolves around 6 or 7 events across a number of venues and has become the event to win within our Club.

Our events are open to Anglers of all abilities and are an opportunity for like minded Anglers to get together for some good fishing and good humour.

You do not have to be a competitive angler to join us for the day, simply book on, turn up, and Enjoy!

Note – our only stipulation is you have a Full Rod Fishing licence to enable you to fish. You also need to be a PSSA Member to participate
